Halloween bottles

Gesso sponged on book page. Green inks rubbed on top.

Here I scraped some gesso onto pink cardstock with a credit card. Stenciled words with gesso. Rubbed over with pink inks. I added more gesso to make the words pop out more and added more stenciling with ink. The colors seem a little too Valentine's Day for me but other than that I like it.

I love how this came out. It reminds of carved stone. Latin text stamped into wet gesso. Green and black ink rubbed on when dry.

Gesso over black paint applied with a credit card. Overstamped with script. I love how the script disappears in the darker areas. Thinking this will be good for a Halloween project.
